Cueva de las Estegamitas is located inside the Financiera y Minera (FYM) limestone quarry, owned by Votorantim Cimentos. The quarry is used for the production of cement in the attached factory. It is located in the neighbourhood of La Araña (Málaga), ten kilometres away from the city centre of Málaga.
